Backstory
Born in an ordinary family in Neo Seoul, Yeonwoo lost her loved ones during the Rift Crisis that struck downtown Seoul in her childhood. Afterwards, she was raised by her grandmother, whose warmth and care helped her endure the pain of loss.
Though her noticeable appetite led to bullying at school, her grandmother’s affection allowed her to safely finish her school years. After her grandmother’s passing, Yeonwoo returned to Neo Seoul in accordance with her final wish—but ended up spending most of the inheritance she received.
To cover her tuition, Yeonwoo turned to livestreaming mukbangs, drawing confidence from the praise she had once received for her hearty appetite. But everything changed the night she accepted a suspicious invitation and fell asleep.
When she awoke, she found herself face to face with the Human God—and so, Yeonwoo’s life entered an entirely new phase.

Yeonwoo is the newest 6-cost DPS in Horizon Walker. To be honest, she wasn’t my favorite character design-wise at first, and I wasn’t expecting much from her. But the more I play, the more I fall in love with her kit. She’s a really strong damage dealer and one of the best characters in the game right now — especially for Spec Ops 1R clears.
While she performs best at EX2 or higher, she’s still incredibly powerful even at EX 0. Her damage rivals Olivia’s, and she completely outclasses recent units like Yui and Efreeti thanks to her high DPS and ability to trigger weak point nukes without relying on RNG. On top of that, she’s tanky and has excellent survivability due to her passive HP restoration, making her one of the most self-sufficient units in the game.
However, Yeonwoo doesn’t perform well on auto — you’ll need to manually control her to bring out her full potential.
Her kit revolves around building Gluttony stacks. She gains 1–2 stacks whenever she receives healing (guaranteed 2 with her weapon), and she even gains stacks when allies get healed. She also gains 4 stacks from her skill “On the Road.” Once she reaches 8 stacks, she can use her ultimate “Avatar of Gluttony”, which Costs 15AP and restores 15 AP after that it transforms into “Yum-Yummy Beam,” her strongest source of damage.
Instead of relying solely on Magic Attack from stigmatas, Yeonwoo scales with her HP.
At max level, her passive “All Fueled Up” converts 36% of her HP to Magic ATK, and “Avatar of Gluttony” adds another 40%. That’s a total of 76% of her max HP being converted to Magic ATK — absolutely insane and it can even go more than that, turning her into both a tank and a DPS monster.
The more dupes you get, the more base HP she gains, directly translating to more damage. At EX6, she unlocks a whole new playstyle.
Yeonwoo has a trait that restores 51% AP if her HP is above 85% after her turn. And after using her ult (which costs 15 AP and refunds 15 AP), she can immediately launch Yum-Yummy Beam, which costs 100 AP. If you stack AP recovery to reach +151 AP, she can actually gain AP during her combo cycle, letting her infinitely loop her burst rotation and even generate extra AP.
Her ideal loop begins with using “On the Road” to build stacks, triggering HP healing and passive effects. Add a healer to accelerate stacking, then launch Avatar of Gluttony → Yum-Yummy Beam → repeat the cycle. It’s an incredibly smooth rotation with the right setup.
Best-in-slot Stigmata: For now, Reckoning Of Sin is Yeonwoo’s top pick. It increases AP Recovery by 4% and grants 30 AP at the start of battle, allowing her to act early. On hit, it also inflicts [Price Of Sin], reducing Elemental DEF by 200 — a significant DPS boost.
Alternative Option: The Eternal Battle is also viable, especially for reaching the 152 AP mark. Make sure to stack AP recovery in your substats regardless of the set.
Comfort/Auto Build: If you prefer a safer or auto-friendly build, go with an HP-based nuker setup: use 2-piece The Four Horsemen (bottom + right) for 35% Crit DMG and 17.5% Max HP, and 2-piece The Knight of Seven Petals (Top+ Left). This build is great for EX0 and casual content.
Recommended Sub Stats: AP Recovery (+152 For ult spam) > Crit = Max HP > Anything else.
Recommended Teams
Yeonwoo's team flexibility is one of her biggest strengths. She's really not that restrictive — all she needs is a healer. Right now, her best teammate is Bella, especially with her Signature Weapon. Bella can increase Yeonwoo’s Max HP and auto-heal her whenever she loses HP, which makes building her Gluttony stacks much faster. Add an AP buffer, and Yeonwoo is set for every type of content.
Here are some example teams you can try with Yeonwoo:
