Backstory
To fight the Abominations, the Federation’s weapon factories ran without pause. Trapped in a relentless wartime system, there was no room to care for the environment. Acidic wastewater, the suffering of those afflicted by the Oblivia phenomenon, and their blood all flowed together into the rivers.
And when the desperate wish to be freed from that pain finally took root… Echidna was born.
But her birth was a misunderstanding. She interpreted that wish as a plea for release through death—and began to slaughter indiscriminately. Even as screams echoed around her, a part of Echidna sensed that something was wrong. Yet she had no way to correct it.
So she continued killing, as she always had—until one day, amid dying minds and tangled regrets, she became aware of the Human God.
Clinging to that faint hope, Echidna set off across the desert, searching for the one who might finally make her whole.

Echidna is the newest addition to poison-based teams in the game, joining Nika, who has been around since launch. She is a 7-cost support and functions more as a poison amplifier rather than a main carry, due to her low damage multipliers and personal DPS.
Her kit revolves around stacking Poison effects on enemies. Different poison sources such as Nika’s Necrotoxin and Echidna’s Acid Venom can stack together, up to a maximum of 6 total poison stacks per enemy.
Her Ultimate deals poison damage and then accumulates additional damage based on all poison stacks currently on the target. The accumulated damage scales with her Accuracy and increases further with dupes, but it is capped at 1425% of her Accuracy.
If the enemy has at least 1 stack of Acid Venom, Echidna is also supposed to deal additional Magic Attack damage. However, this effect is currently bugged and does not trigger in-game. This is the main reason the guide was delayed, as it appears to be either a bug or a mistranslation. For now, this damage is separate from the poison accumulation triggered by her Ultimate and does not trigger
In practice, her Ultimate deals damage to enemies with any poison stacks, then accumulates an additional 285% of all poison stacks on the target, plus an extra amount based on Accuracy. The more dupes Echidna has, the stronger this accumulation becomes.
To use her Ultimate, Echidna must first perform 3 supportive attacks.
To maximize damage, enemies should have as many poison stacks as possible before casting it. For example, Nika can apply Necrotoxin first, then after reaching 3-6 total stacks, Echidna can use her Ultimate for maximum value for example
Keep in mind that more stacks alone do not always mean more damage—what matters most is how much additional accumulation Echidna applies to those stacks.
Echidna also provides a strong utility bonus by reducing enemies’ Poison DEF within a 9m radius, reducing it by up to 760. For comparison, Nika only reduces Poison DEF by 200 in a 5m radius.
Rotation: Echidna is very straightforward to play. Her passive grants her a supportive attack whenever an ally attacks an enemy—each ally can trigger this once per round. These supportive attacks also remove Arcane Purge On her allies and apply 1 stack of Acid Venom, allowing her to stack poison very quickly if her teammates act before her.
Once Echidna performs 3 supportive attacks, she can use her Ultimate. Ideally, wait until enemies have 6 poison stacks before casting it for maximum damage.
| EX Level | Base INT | Base AGI | Excess INT | Excess AGI | Total % Increase |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EX | 20 - 7 = 13 | 19 + 3 = 22 | INT - 13 = 0 | AGI - 22 = 0 | 133% × (10%×0 + 10%×0) = 0% |
| EX1 | 15 | 22 | 2 | 0 | 26.6% |
| EX2 | 16 | 22 | 3 | 0 | 39.9% |

For Stigmata: There is currently no poison-specific Stigmata set. Since most of Echidna’s damage scales with Magic Attack,
if you plan to use her as a main carry (recommended only at EX3+, ideally EX6), Jester’s Mask is her best-in-slot option.
It Increases Magic Attack power by 10% during combat.
And During your turn, increases Skill DMG by 25%. Basic Attacks grant 1 stack of [Jester’s Quip] for 2 rounds.
[Jester’s Quip]: Increases Skill DMG and Magic ATK by 5%. Stacks up to 2 times.
For a support-focused build, Reckoning of Sin is generally the best option. The 2 piece Increases AP Recovery by 4% during combat.
And the 4-Piece: At the start of combat, gain 30 AP. On successful hit, inflict [Price of Sin], reducing Elemental DEF by 200. The effect ends when the target is hit.
You can also use The Wind That Wandered the World if you want better positioning to maximize her DEF shred, but since it’s an older set and harder for new players to obtain, Reckoning of Sin is usually the safer recommendation.
Recommended Substat Priority: Accuracy > AP Recovery = Magic Attack > Anything else.
SS Reckoning of Sin is a solid budget alternative.
Echidna is a solid unit overall, but she arrived far too late. Nika’s meta has already passed, and poison teams simply can’t keep up with the current pace of the game.
Poison stack buildup is slow and ramp-dependent, and while Echidna teams are still sitting at 2–3 stacks, most modern carries can already wipe entire waves. This makes her damage output feel underwhelming in comparison
On top of that, Echidna is very squishy, especially when you try to position her aggressively between enemies to apply her debuffs. Nika’s damage itself is also quite low by today’s standards, which further hurts the team’s overall performance.
That said, it’s easy to see Echidna as a future-proof unit. If the developers introduce a true poison-focused DPS that can fully capitalize on her stacking and amplification mechanics, her value could increase significantly.
For now, though, in the current state of the game, Echidna is simply okay—playable, but not competitive with top-tier teams.
Recommended Teams ( WIP )
For now, Echidna is extremely limited in team options. Her only real teammate is Nika, which is what makes her feel underwhelming in the current meta.
At the moment, there is no dedicated poison carry that can fully take advantage of Echidna’s kit. Without a strong main DPS to capitalize on her poison amplification and accumulation mechanics, her overall value remains restricted.

[Venom Reflux]:
Accumulates an additional 150% of all poison stacks the target currently holds, plus an amount equal to 300% of the caster's Accuracy.
Each poison type accumulated through Accuracy cannot exceed a maximum of 750.
Lingering Miasma
Reduces the Poison DEF of all enemies within a 9m radius by 400.
Skills Priority
All Echidna really needs to function is her passives and ultimate leveled up. That alone is enough to make her kit work as intended. However, if you plan to play her as a damage dealer, you can also invest into her Toxic Carrier skill.
