Cora is an 8-cost fire mage, She is my favorite non-EX Vanguard in the game and i promise you not biased here.
Before the introduction of Luise’s weapon, Cora was somewhat usable for one-shotting entire map, but she wasn’t consistent and required a lot of investment — which is why I never really recommended building her. However, the moment she got her own weapon, she completely broke the game.
Overnight, Cora jumped from C/D tier straight to S tier, becoming one of the strongest DPS units in the entire game.
Cora’s kit revolves around summoning lava and covering as many enemies as possible to reduce their Heat DEF. This effect doesn’t stack, so you’ll want to position carefully to hit multiple targets as possible. The skill also deals damage based on her Magic Attack and triggers her passive — enemies standing on lava take additional Heat Damage every time they’re hit, scaling with her Magic Attack as well.
Her weapon takes this to another level by granting bonus Magic Attack and Heat Boost.
At the start of combat, the first three uses of her Summon Lava skill cost 0 AP, have their cooldown reduced by 1 round, and gain an extra 1m AoE range. On top of that, her weapon reduces her Ultimate’s AP cost by 30 (down to 120 AP) and doubles the additional Heat Damage from her passive. All of this makes her an absolute monster in Spec Ops and one of the best F2P options for clearing stages in one round.
The combo is simple — spam your free Summon Lava casts to hit as many enemies as possible, then use her Ultimate to wipe the entire screen. If you’re slightly short on damage, you can throw in some basic attacks before nuking.
Since her Ultimate has a 2-round cooldown, it’s best to save it for the second phase in modes like Dopamine Mode where there's multiple phases. Realistically, her skill, passive, and basic attacks alone can clear most waves before you even need to ult.
Her signature weapon also gives her a shield, keeping her safe from counterattacks before she nukes the battlefield.
As an S-rarity unit, getting Cora’s to EX6 might take a while, but the good news is that her weapon dupes significantly boost her power. If you want to 1R Spec Ops stages or maximize her damage, I strongly recommend getting multiple copies of her weapon, Idealy +5.
As for her auto AI, it’s a bit dumb — for some reason, she keeps chasing enemies, spams her skill, and never uses her ultimate. So keep an eye on that, as it could be an issue for youd during dailies. Hopefully, this will be fixed in a future updates.
Building her is straightforward. Her best set is The Eternal Battle, which provides massive Magic Attack bonuses. The 2-piece effect increases Magic Attack by 10% during combat, while the 4-piece effect grants a 35% Magic Attack boost for 3 rounds after successfully hitting 3 or more enemies at once — something she can easily trigger thanks to her lava summon's large AoE.
If you don’t have this set or don’t want to farm it, you can use Jester’s Mask instead, But you will sacrifice a bit of her damage to farm a good set for other units at the same time.
For substats, all she cares about is Magic Attack. Critical stats don’t contribute much to her kit, so ideally, you want to stack as many Magic Attack rolls as possible (up to twelve 5% sub stats rolls if you can).
The Ship of Theseus and SS Jester’s Mask are also solid budget alternatives.
Recommended Substat Priority: Magic Attack > Anything Else.
Recommended Teams
Cora doesn’t really need a team for most content — she can solo almost everything with ease. However, if you want to boost her damage output or 1R Spec Ops stages, she greatly benefits from AP, DEF Shredders and damage buffers. Here are some example team setups you can try:

If triggered during Self's Turn, the DMG is doubled.

Volcanic Eruption
Explodes the lava, setting the entire battlefield ablaze and unleashing Heat DMG equal to 30% of Magic ATK to all enemies. Increases the damage of the [Forbidden Land] skill 3 times. This skill cannot trigger Weakness Attack.
Skills Priority
Korabi's Skill Priority: All she really needs is Crimson Curse and Blood Pact to unlock her full supporting potential. After that, it depends on how much you want to invest in her. Just a heads-up — she uses green talent materials, which are in high demand by other characters too.
